I am your guide through these vast new realities. Follow me and think about the question… « What if? » When the Marvel logo appears, it switches to animated form in keeping with the show’s art style. Replaced Marvel Studios: Legends: Guardians of the Multiverse (2023). A very simple rush episode designed to put those pieces right into the puzzle. And my facial expressions were pretty straight-forward while watching this episode, because there was no excitement or even a logical narrative, I get it this is an animated show aimed at kids? But only kids who are familiar with the entire MCU by now will be able to appreciate it. Let’s see how the next episodes go, but after this one I’m not really worried about them. Edit: Episode 2 gave a real sense of what the MCU is, it was creative and thoughtful with major WHAT IF moments. I had a lot of fun watching T’Challa on screen. But episode 3 was the turning point and made me change my mind about this review. It was so emotional and exciting to watch that I could have watched an entire movie about this episode. It re-examined the characters we know on a level that left us wanting more. I hope to get a 10 star edit by the end of the season. Edit II: Here’s my other star for a « weird » yet thought-provoking episode that was the best of the bunch in terms of writing, voice acting, animation, and plot. Special mention to Benedict Cumberbatch for dubbing as the boss. Kudos to Marvel for making this happen. But coming into episode five, the episode was definitely entertaining, it was interesting and engaging with quality animation, but it also showed once again that too much at once doesn’t give viewers enough time to absorb things. Still an overall 9/10 for the series at least until the next two episodes. They need to beat episode 4 to get a 10 from me.
