The site, known as Beaver Bank Village, has a long history and many years ago housed housing, a community hall, a fire station, a school, a church, a convenience store, and more (all demolished by 2004) to support the workers of a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s.
A rope is lowered down to him
All that remains are the paved streets and driveways, and a mock town has been built on top of them. When Boyd climbs a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well. When Boyd comes out of the well, Martin is the only one in the room and he is chained to the wall. The rope was not dropped by Martin. I’ve enjoyed this show so far, the acting, the mysteries, etc
Que Sera, Sera (What Will Be, Will Be) Written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans Performed by The Pixies. Really cool. However, I’m starting to worry a little that it’s going too far towards a "Lost" vibe. While "Lost" was also a fantastic show in terms of acting, direction, etc. I was annoyed by how much of a mystery there was just for the sake of being mysterious.
that’s never mentioned again or explained in any way
Watching the second season, I kept feeling a little annoyed when another weird thing would come up. a mystery was introduced, whether it’s a symbol, an object, a thing, an event… mostly because I can’t help but think « Will this be relevant in the long run? Is it just one of those mysterious mist creatures, a hatch, a light, etc. Because that kind of mysterious writing just annoys me in the end, because a writer can go in and pull out absolutely anything and never come back to it.
Okay, there’s a llama in a red hat who whispers the words "paleontological" and "spatula"!" and that’s it, forgotten after the season, no explanation, it was just weird
I’ll still watch it, but if it ends one day when it’s just "It was all in his head!" and there’s no attempt to tie any theme-logic to all of this, then rate this review at least 2-3 points lower…
